Hello, I was wondering, can any NFT could become a genetic NFT or it need to have been built on this standard from inception?

Latest NFT contract is cw721 v19 (aka “genetic NFTs”). We’ve added a migration feature allowing to upgrade older versions cw721 v15 and later.

in this case, you need to create a proposal to upload the contracts  
pro-tip, you can create 1 proposal with multiple messages…
