# Validator show voting power 0

Hi,

I’ve sent a successful create validator transaction a couple days ago to stake 1ATOM. I ran `gaiad query staking validator <val-addr>` which outputs the same pubkey as when I run ‘gaiad status’ but the voting power is still 0. It also outputs this

```auto
status: BOND_STATUS_UNBONDED
tokens: "1000000"
unbonding_height: "0"
unbonding_time: "1970-01-01T00:00:00Z"

```

Any ideas on how I might fix this?
