I’ve been working on a permanent revenue stream for the Cosmos Hub that I expect to have debugged and fully functional over the next couple of days. It will be sourced from a few of my best performing TLD’s on the Atom Registry.
How it will work is with a smart contract I developed that I transfer ownership of the TLD to that manages its policy and whenever a domain is registered, that registration fee is split with 75% going to the Community Pool and 25% going to my favorite treasurer, me.
The frontend is at https://cosmos.gdn/tld.html and it’s being designed to be the public accountant for all transactions for verification. I currently have the .tld on the management contract for testing everything and if all goes well, I’ll remove it before adding .atom, .dao, .crypto, and a few others to manage them there.
So yeah, maybe it’s not going to make any of us rich but it will represent the first legitimate and permanent revenue stream for the Cosmos Hub. I’m shooting for live Monday and at some point, will register a web2 domain for the frontend.
