This is the fifteenth of Hub Weekly Thursday recaps, straight from the Hub Unit team, per the cadence we committed to in the From Chaos to Stability to Growth post.
Every Thursday, we will call out significant Cosmos Hub updates on the forum, with a short companion thread on X, recapping announcements, live events like validator or community calls, and ecosystem updates!
For more info, see the linked posts and contact @RoboMcGobo on Telegram to submit news for the weekly.
Apologies for missing last Thursday’s update. The team was heads-down handling a few urgent items, so this issue folds the last two weeks into one.

Noble USDC Wind-Down: The Migration to Injective USDC Begins Friday
Circle has announced that it is discontinuing support for USDC and CCTP v1 on the Noble blockchain. This is a companion post to Circle’s earlier post setting out timelines for global CCTP v1 deprecation. Those announcements set the wind-down timelines, and the practical takeaway for anyone holding Noble USDC in Cosmos is simple: Noble has more time than most networks to wind down and allow the USDC migration path to USDC.inj, which opens this week, to go smoothly.
Starting Friday, the migration flow goes live in Skip Go. What that looks like:
-
A dedicated migration flow in the Skip Go app that takes Noble USDC (USDC.n) to Injective USDC (USDC.inj) in no more than two clicks, with a step-by-step guide linked directly from the UI
-
Transmuter pools on Osmosis offering one-to-one swaps as an alternative path for smaller balances
-
A migration API to follow, so wallets and frontends can integrate the flow directly and users can migrate from the interfaces they already use
We have been in direct contact with the Cosmos teams, infrastructure providers, and frontends that touch Noble USDC, and that outreach continues through the migration window. How you can help:
-
If your team holds Noble USDC, runs infrastructure that supports it, or builds a frontend that displays it, and we have not already been in touch, reach out to @RoboMcGobo on Telegram
-
Join the USDC migration working group if you have not already
-
AMM protocols: deploy your Injective USDC pools now so liquidity is ready as balances migrate
We will publish a dedicated migration announcement with full instructions as the flow goes live.
Read this post for all details, we will edit it on Friday to include the guide and migration flow.
Cosmos Partner Network: Launched Tuesday with 17 Partners
On Tuesday, Cosmos Labs launched the Cosmos Partner Network, a program connecting 17 specialized partners to the Cosmos stack. Partners provide services like KYC and KYB, compliance, custody, and privacy, giving financial institutions building on Cosmos technology a vetted bench of providers to accelerate their tokenization and digital asset initiatives.
The ecosystem team is already in discussions with some partners in the network about ATOM-related initiatives. These conversations are preliminary, and we will share specifics only as they firm up, but the partner network is not just an enterprise story. We plan to make it work for the Hub as well, as it connects the network and builders to new opportunities.
The announcement on X has the full partner list.
Paxos Governance Proposal: The On-Chain Vote Goes Live Today
The ATOM integration and listing proposal went live on the forum on September 1, co-sponsored by Paxos and Cosmos Labs.
The short version: Paxos operates regulated brokerage and custody infrastructure that powers trading for platforms such as Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab, and PayPal. The proposal requests 300,740 USDC from the community pool to fund the integration build, establish liquidity, and provide technical support to Paxos’s brokerage clients, so ATOM can be listed for trading across those platforms. ATOM’s growth is limited in traditional crypto exchange environments because it is already listed nearly everywhere; the traditional brokerage market is a much larger surface, and this integration opens it.
Validator and community feedback so far has been largely positive, and the forum round has run its course: the proposal goes on-chain later today. How you can help:
-
Read the proposal and post your questions or concerns in the thread
-
Vote with your stake once the proposal is live on-chain
-
Validators: if you have feedback you would rather share directly, reach out to @RoboMcGobo on Telegram
ICF Council Transition: A Refreshed Council and a New President
The Interchain Foundation announced its council transition following its annual council election. The changes:
-
Biba Homsy becomes President: a Swiss and Luxembourg lawyer specializing in financial regulation and crypto assets, formerly of FINMA and Credit Suisse
-
Ryan Pripstein joins the council: Partner at Anagram, formerly Head of Research at Thrive Capital
-
Dr. Radisav Cojbasic joins the council: technologist and co-founder of zero-knowledge cryptography company Irreducible
-
Josh Cincinnati transitions from President to Vice President
Council members serve fixed one-year terms, and the Foundation framed the refresh as strengthening its operating structure for its long-term work supporting the Cosmos ecosystem.
For Hub community members with ICF questions: the dedicated ICF Q&A session at an upcoming community call is tentatively scheduled for September 22. We will follow up with a full announcement when the date is fully locked
Validator Call: Rescheduled to Wednesday, September 16, at 9:00 AM ET
The monthly Cosmos Hub validator call originally scheduled for September 9 has been rescheduled to Wednesday, September 16, at 9:00 AM ET, to give the team room to compile validator feedback around the latest upgrade. The validator event calendar has been updated accordingly.
The agenda:
-
Chain upgrade processes and how they can be improved
-
Delegation program updates
-
USDC on Injective
-
Cosmos Hub testnet
-
Overview of the Cosmos KMS remote signer
If you operate a Hub node, the standing support channels are the Cosmos Hub Discord for support, upgrade notices, and operator tips, and nodes@cosmoslabs.io for direct help or access to support.
Validators: if you have feedback you want addressed on the call, send it ahead of time so it makes the agenda.
ATOM Tokenomics: Phase 2 Is Nearing Completion
A short progress note on the tokenomics workstream. The Phase 2 mechanism design report with Gauntlet is nearing completion, and the public dashboard built on the Phase 1 data is in final review.
Phase 2 covers how different inflation mechanisms would behave against the Phase 1 behavioral data. Expect a dedicated update, and as always, anything that becomes a concrete parameter change routes through governance.
That’s all for this week - thanks to everyone engaging across the forum, validator channels, and Telegram. Looking forward to next week’s update! Please let us know if you like the Weekly format, and what else you’d like to hear from us.
