Community Pool USDC: the migration proposal sends the pool’s USDC.n to a 4 of 6 community multisig, which migrates it over Skip:Go and returns USDC.inj to the pool. Discussion runs through October 27.
-
Gaia v29: Proposal 1059 removes the legacy params module and updates the Cosmos SDK and Go. Voting ends October 27, and multisig operators need to set a fixed gas value on v29
-
InfStones: the Ecosystem Growth delegation for an institutional ATOM staking API starts at 597,794 ATOM on signature, with two further tranches tied to API delivery and a closed institutional customer.
-
Paxos: ATOM is live on Paxos Crypto Brokerage. Work has now begun on pitching ATOM to Paxos’s institutional partners via the integration.
Stargaze Messages: Private, Encrypted Wallet-to-Wallet Messaging Is Live on the Hub, With an Early-User Raffle Through October 31
Stargaze, the NFT marketplace and launchpad on the Cosmos Hub, shipped Stargaze Messages on September 30. Messages are private and encrypted. You unlock your inbox with your wallet and an optional password, so only you can read it. Inside a conversation you can share mints, react, and reply, and message the people you collect with directly by wallet.
For the Hub, this is a consumer feature shipping on Hub infrastructure. Stargaze’s marketplace, launchpad, and collections run as CosmWasm contracts on the Cosmos Hub, so collectors who mint and trade there are transacting on the Hub. This week’s top collections by volume on Stargaze were Bad Kids, Cosmos by pARTy, and Metamorphosis, with Celestine Sloth Society, Gata Hub, Underworld Genesis, Unicornio, and Mad Scientists rounding out the list, and two featured Halloween launches are scheduled for Friday.
The raffle. Stargaze is running an onboarding raffle for Messages through October 31. Every wallet that sends a message to “stargaze” gets one entry, and the prize pool grows as more wallets join:
-
From the first entry: a Pixel Wizard
-
At 50 wallets: an Underworld Necropolis and a Rekt Bull are added
-
At 100 wallets: a Bad Kid is added
One entry per wallet, one prize per winner, and the draw is on October 31. Full details are in Stargaze’s post.
How you can help:
-
Try it. Set up Messages on stargaze.zone, send a message to stargaze, and you are entered. Tell the Stargaze team what works and what does not

Community Pool USDC: The Migration Proposal Is on the Forum, Six Community Signers Are Named, and the On-Chain Target Is October 27
The proposal to migrate the Community Pool’s USDC.n went up for discussion on Tuesday, October 20. The Community Pool holds 566,067.055810 USDC.n (Noble-issued USDC), measured at block 33,458,880. The pool cannot sign a migration transaction on its own, so moving the funds requires a governance-approved spend to an account that can.
The mechanism. This is a community pool spend proposal. If it passes, the full USDC.n balance moves to a 4 of 6 DAODAO multisig on the Cosmos Hub with a single mandate: migrate the USDC.n to USDC.inj (Circle’s native USDC on Injective) and return it to the Community Pool. The multisig holds no other assets and takes no other action. The on-chain submission will use the exact pool balance at submission time so no USDC.n is left behind.
The signers. Any four of the following six must approve each transaction: Arlai (Hydro), Johnny Wyles (Osmosis), Lexa Michaelides (Hypha), Polkachu, David (Crosnest), and Zoltan (Silk Nodes).
The steps. The multisig runs a small test migration through Skip:Go or the Osmosis USDC transmuter pool and confirms USDC.inj arrives on the Hub, migrates the remaining balance through the same route, returns the full USDC.inj balance to the Community Pool with MsgFundCommunityPool, and publishes the transaction hashes for each step in the forum thread. Migration proceeds are 1:1. The only costs are Hub gas and, on the Skip:Go route, a small fixed relayer fee per transfer. If a leg stalls, the Skip relayer completes it or the funds remain in the multisig. If the migration cannot be completed for any reason, the multisig returns the unmigrated USDC.n to the pool.
The timeline. Forum discussion runs one week from October 20. The target on-chain date is Tuesday, October 27, followed by the standard seven-day voting period. The test migration, full migration, and return to the pool are planned within seven days of passing. The migration itself completes in a few minutes once the multisig has signed.
Ecosystem migration status. As of Friday, October 16, 12.70 million USDC had migrated to Injective and 93.97 million USDC.n remained on Noble across the ecosystem. The bulk of the remaining Noble USDC sits on dYdX, which is expected to begin its migration in the coming weeks through its own governance process. Circle’s wind-down schedule is unchanged: new minting on Noble was disabled on October 13, CCTP V1 burn limits from Noble begin reducing to zero on October 31, the Noble USDC contract and all CCTP routes pause on January 12, 2027, with a balance snapshot that day, and manual redemption opens on January 13, 2027.
How you can help:
-
Read and comment on the proposal before it goes on chain on October 27. Questions about the multisig, the route, or the contingencies belong in the forum thread
-
Migrate your own USDC.n. The migration guide covers the Skip:Go flow, and the Osmosis transmuter pool converts one-to-one with no fee

InfStones: The Institutional ATOM Staking API Delegation Is Structured in Three Tranches, and Closing Waits on Final Signature
Last week’s validator call introduced the Ecosystem Growth delegation to InfStones. The agreement is not yet fully executed. The terms below are what the signed agreement will contain, and a forum announcement with the final details will be shared soon.
What InfStones is building. An open-source, institutional-grade ATOM staking API, scoped as an eight-week build, covering delegate, undelegate, redelegate, and claim rewards transactions, plus institutional reporting on balances, rewards, and APY. The API is meant to slot into the staking offerings of brokerages and custodians so that their clients can stake ATOM through the channels they already use.
The agreement also includes active business development by InfStones to bring new institutional ATOM stakers onto the API. InfStones was chosen because it already serves traditional custodians and brokerages positioning themselves for digital assets.
How the delegation is structured. The delegation is released in three tranches, each tied to a milestone:
-
Tranche 1, on signature: an upfront delegation of 597,794 ATOM
-
Tranche 2, on API delivery or a first closed institutional customer: whichever comes first
-
Tranche 3, on final delivery plus a closed institutional customer
Receiving all three tranches requires InfStones to close at least one institutional customer. A single signed customer is expected to bring more ATOM into staking than the delegation itself, which is why the agreement is built this way.
What happens next. Once the agreement is executed, we plan to have InfStones join a monthly community call to walk through the API and what it unlocks for institutional ATOM holders.
Gaia v29: Proposal 1059 Is Live, Voting Ends October 27, and the Upgrade Removes the Legacy Params Module
The Gaia v29.0.0 software upgrade proposal was submitted on Tuesday, October 20 at 12:00 UTC and is in its voting period, which ends on October 27 at 12:00 UTC. If it passes, the upgrade executes at block 33,618,500. The upgrade is state-breaking, and validators will need to switch binaries at the upgrade height. v29 has been running on the provider testnet since October 13. The forum discussion thread is here.
What changes in v29:
-
The x/params module is removed. The legacy ParameterChangeProposal governance route and the cosmos.params.v1beta1.Query service are no longer available. Parameter changes go through each module’s own governance messages
-
Cosmos SDK moves from v0.53.4 to v0.53.8, and Go moves from 1.25 to 1.26
One known issue for multisig operators. In Cosmos SDK v0.53.8, gas simulation with --gas auto is broken for multisig senders. Multisig transactions on v29 must specify a fixed --gas value until the upstream fix lands. If you operate a multisig on the Hub, including the Community Pool migration multisig above, plan for this.
How you can help:
-
Validators: vote on Proposal 1059 and prepare the v29.0.0 binary ahead of the upgrade height. Release binaries, checksums, and the release signing keys are published in the Gaia repository
-
Watch the announcement channels for the upgrade time estimate as block 33,618,500 approaches
-
Running a multisig? Test a transaction with a fixed --gas value on testnet before the mainnet upgrade
Paxos: ATOM Is Live on Paxos Crypto Brokerage, and Joint Marketing, Sales Collateral, and an X Space Are in Motion
ATOM is now a supported asset on Paxos Crypto Brokerage, listed on Paxos’ Assets and Blockchains page for trading and custody. This is the deliverable from Proposal 1054, and it means Paxos’ partners, the fintechs, brokerages, and platforms that embed Paxos’ brokerage infrastructure, can offer ATOM to their own customers through an existing integration.
We met the Paxos team last Friday to plan the rollout now that the integration is live. Paxos’ partner managers are already working on integrations and moving partners onto enhanced liquidity for ATOM access, and Paxos will share an adoption report at the end of the year.
An X Space with The Defiant. The Defiant is hosting a Space on scaling institutional tokenization beyond issuance, and Cosmos and Paxos have been invited to join the lineup. Details go out once the participants and date are locked,
That’s all for this week - thanks to everyone engaging across the forum, validator channels, and Telegram. Looking forward to next week’s update! Please let us know if you like the Weekly format, and what else you’d like to hear from us.
The next issue of the Cosmos Quarterly is still being worked on and should be live soon, and we expect to have updates on the outcomes of the tokenomics work and roadmap shortly thereafter. Here’s how to keep up to date:
