ICF Delegations Policy v2.0

Happy to see the next iteration of the delegation policy and to see it expand to additoinal chains. Thank you to the team for their hard work on this!

I, like many others, believe relaying is a crucial piece of infrastructure that is subsidized mainly by the relayers themselves. The majority of the teams supporting the hub, including Cosmos Spaces, “pay to relay”, but we all believe it’s something that must be done and that the benefit will be there in the long run. Historic data can be pulled to make sure everyone see’s where the support is coming from and how worthy it is for consideration.

It would be nice for some sort of breakdown or even just a scoring rubric on where all the teams scored so that the community can see what is valued most, and where more support may be needed. This will also bring a level of transparency and trust.

Other points to discuss:

Valuable upcoming contributions - How will this not be gamed, and how will you help ensure accountability for follow through? Especially if this is for a 1 year delegation period, this could be taken advantage of with little intention to deliver. I do believe there is value in a category that is aimed at things in development, and even subjective awards for the value they bring.

Past Contributions - could you better define and show examples of what would be accepted and what won’t be accepted, both in this cycle and the following?

Consumer Chain Kick Start - +1 to @ArchitectNodes for asking to clarify how the scoring will go and what the minimum requirements are?

@freak12techno also brought up a good point of the mentioning that past applicants would have an easy process for reapplying. Will that still be implemented?

Looking forward to seeing this new iteration implemeted!
