Software Upgrade Software Upgrade proposals are used to coordinate all full nodes to upgrade to the same new software at a specified block height. CHIPs CHIPs describe standards for the Cosmos Hub, including core protocol specifications, feature implementations, and more. Client Update Client update proposals are for replacing an expired IBC client with an updated one. Community Spend Community Spend proposals are for requesting $ATOM from the Cosmos Hub Treasury. Information about Community Spend proposals is presented in the Cosmos Hub documentation. Signaling/Text Signaling or ‘text’ proposals are for having an on-chain record of support for an idea.
