Signalling Proposal to Whitelist the Deployment of InterChain NFT Contracts

First of all, thank you for your constructive feedback. The community did a research on your work and your dedication to Cosmos is amazing:

The narrative for just being solely for “security and governance” has shifted already:

Prop 917: Funding prize pool for public goods, new teams building on the Hub and ATOM Economic Zone

This prop is the most recent and biggest move for increasing $ATOM value and attracting users on Cosmos Hub!

Also check the discussion on the mission here: [PROPOSAL #917][VOTING][CORRECTED] DoraHacks: AEZ Quadratic Funding Program

Many comments related to this AEZ funding are in context of having these public goods deployed on the Hub via SmartContracts like:

The intention is good, but it would be nice to be able to build a stack within the hub after the smart contract proposal.

Or stated by yourself:

… Regarding the general design, wouldn’t it be easier to roll this feature with a wasm contract directly on the Hub ? Now that the proposal #895 has passed with plans to grant the hub with permission-ed smart contract capabilities in the future. …

The Hub’s mission “Security and Governance” is neither for their existance themselves nor their own justification, instead it is for greater good like public good. Fungible and Non-Fungible Tokens are public goods - no doubt about that, right?

IBC is the most secure bridge across web3 - with no exploits yet. NFTs (cw721) and its bridge (ICS721) are a public goods.

Our mission is protecting/securing the NFT fam in many ways. Let me elaborate on this:

Cosmos Hub to the Rescue! Securing your Tokens

Everybody remembers the UST depeg on May 9th 2022, right? 3 days later Ark Protocol was founded. Why? Everybody tried to protect their assets on Terra. Obviously LUNC and UST failed. But it was clear to us: NFTs are different (it’s all about intrinsic values, but this is offtopic here. So if there would have been a bridge, an Ark like ICS721,- at least these assets could have been protected! 100%! The community could move on on another chain. We know how many people suffered and did some harm to themselves.

This is Ark’s mission.

Fast-forward to now and the near future: each chain provides potentials and risks. Let’s say Cosmos Hub is the most conversative chain - hence more secure (though more defi protocols are coming to the hub - which is great!).

Ark’s goal is the Hub being the NFT hub as well. Why? From a technical perspective: NFTs are just data - though a valuable data store that needs to be secured and protected!

Example: Mad Scientists stored on Osmosis, but most value is generated on Stargaze. In the future other utilities will be provided from various projects on other chains. Finally there will be good reasoning for ICA, ICS, etc. because of these consumer needs. Examples: stake, airdrop and claim on chain XYZ, by leaving your NFT on home chain (and using DAODAO(!!), ICA, Polytone, etc).

Imho we oversee during all this discussion what the Hub’s core mission is: being the hub and center of a decentralized Cosmos ecosystem (luv this paradoxon  )!

Ark will deliver an InterChain launchpad, so creators can still have their “home/community” e.g. on Neutron, Osmosis, etc. but we make sure the tokens are stored and secured on the hub.

Please also note Red Phone’s comment above regarding Inscriptions. He’s co-founder of Asteroid Protocol - and the master mind in general who conceptionalized this for Bitcoin Ordinals! Inscriptions are already on the Hub. But due to the abscence of SmartContracts parts of its key data are stored off-chain - in an indexer. We will also address and change this as well. This is too important for not having it onchain!

Last but not least and talking about Atom Economic Zone: Quadratic Funding | AEZ Grant | DoraHacks

Ark Protocol made 1st place in round 1, 4th place in round 2 and 3.
The current round 4 will be announced next week. We made 1st place.
340 contributors voted in AEZ round 4.
195 (>55%) voted for us.

2nd (La Multisig) and 3rd place (jetWallet) are also public goods for the users/consumer. All remaining 11 public goods are tech-/infra-based.

Imho this is a clear statement.
