Asteroid protocol inscriptions on Cosmos Hub

I just saw this Asteroid protocol inscriptions tweet.

If people want inscriptions, make an inscriptions app chain. Make that app chain an ICS consumer chain and secure it by Cosmos Hub validators.

But under no circumstance are we writing inscriptions on the ATOM blocks.

Liveness is the Cosmos Hub’s most valuable property

and that can’t be jeopardized with whatever crazy idea is running around in the crypto industry today. If you want to do something, appchain it. Keep your hands off the Hub.

Hub’s been running fine all throughout this. The Asteroid app had trouble keeping up with the volume, meanwhile the hub was pushing out blocks with up to 1,000 transactions stuffed in them, vs. the 5 it’s normally got in them. I think it’s super interesting and curious how it plays out.
