I wanted to share an initiative that could potentially complement and strengthen the broader Cosmos development ecosystem.
I recently created this Telegram group called Atom Builders, designed to bring together independent developers, engineers, and builders working across Cosmos.
The idea is to create a lightweight coordination layer between teams maintaining core Cosmos technology and the wider builder community.
While the group is open and also enables independent builders to coordinate among themselves.
I believe it can bring direct value to Cosmos Labs in several ways:
-
Extending builder capacity: by tapping into a pool of independent contributors who are already active or interested in building within the ecosystem, you can more easily find support for specific initiatives, experiments, or protocol-level improvements.
-
Recruitment & visibility: a space to share job opportunities, grants, or collaboration requests, helping you reach highly relevant and already engaged talent.
-
Ad-hoc support for projects: whether it’s feedback, contributors, or technical input, the group can act as a responsive layer of builders who can step in where needed.
-
Signal gathering / temperature checks: a direct line to builders to get quick feedback on ideas, product directions, or technical decisions before or during implementation.
-
Ecosystem alignment: helping reduce fragmentation by creating more direct communication between core contributors and the broader builder base, aligning efforts around the Cosmos Hub and shared priorities.
Importantly, this community initiative is intentionally Atom-aligned. The goal is not to foster projects that are disconnected from the Cosmos Hub, but rather to encourage development that meaningfully contributes to its growth and sustainability.
Projects that do not leverage the Hub, do not integrate with Atom-aligned infrastructure, or do not contribute (directly or indirectly) to the Cosmos Hub’s value capture are considered out of scope for this group. The intent is to keep efforts focused, aligned, and beneficial to the Hub’s long-term development.
Separately, the group also naturally fosters builder-to-builder coordination, which can further strengthen the ecosystem from the bottom up.
The goal is not to replace existing structures, but to provide an additional, flexible coordination space that can accelerate collaboration and execution across the ecosystem.
If you are this kind of Atom aligned Builder, please ask Guinch on the Atom community chat on Telegram. I will share you the link.
