Yeah I don’t buy this argument at all. How many people went to the stand? 500? You’re telling me they went to a blockchain conference and had never heard of ATOM? It’s irrelevant marketing. A YouTube video would reach 20x the people for free. Advertising is not why Cosmos is tanking. I for one am sick of devaluing ATOM for everyone to pay for the rich to go to conferences. How many times have we paid for Cito to go party overseas with his friends? Enough with the meaningless conferences. Dev work only in my opinion.
CP has always been a slush fund for validators to vote their friends money. Think of how people like @Brendan-WhisperNode voted their buddy Tendermint Timmy like 20k to make a website nobody visits. If you’re not in the validator cabal, you can’t get funding for actual projects.
This is live streaming, and very soon we will upload edited version with edited sound
Can you tell me which validator you represents?
I joined the event.
You telling me there were only 30 people. But that is not true. Maybe there were 30 people at the same time. But there were much more talking and connecting in the background. You seem to undervalue the usefulness of networking and visibility.
Anyway. Doesn’t matter - Cosmos was not represented on the Berlin Blockchain Week. Only by this very event. Organized by this very validator.
You cosmos guys are in the downfall. Making no advertising for yourself and no innovative marketing. And yet you hang out in your ebony towers looking down at the small creators and builders working their ass off trying to achieve what they can achieve for their homie block chain.
You are making drama about a 6k ask from a 38M community pool while laughing about LUNC drama
You aree just hater, that joined the forum 3 days ago, just to write bullshit about cool event!
I’m pretty sure, that you are cosmos-hater, and just don’t want good development for Cosmos.
And you don’t understand how cosmos works.
So, opinion of unknow user - this is not an argument, we don’t need to listen you, until you proof your experience in Cosmos. And for now - you are recognized as a troll
Also, do you understand, that to get good live-streaming without - you need to rent more things?
And you even don’t want vote YES for 6000$
how will we have cool streaming without any funds?
We made a lot of cool content, and it is publishing step-by-step, very soon you will see a lot of cool videos, this is an example:
You’re entirely missing the point. Go watch the 5 min of the clip I posted.
You’ve missed the point, that this is not edited live stream
And please, tell me which validator you represent, I need to count how much potential NWV will be, based on it I will decide to up proposal or not
We don’t ask for hundreds of thousands
We made great event just for 20K, to represent Cosmos on Berlin Blockchain Week
And we ask not full price, just a part
For now, nobody else did nothing about Cosmos on Berlin Blockchain Week, and if Cosmos will not be represented, nobody will know about tech
on the first day we had 80 people maximum at the moment
Totaly, more than 100 different people visited 1st day
Second day we had 40 people maximum at the moment
Totaly, ~60 different people visited 2nd day
The Interchain Summit was in top-10 among 150 events on the Berlin Blockchain Week by the visitors
Only raves, Vitalik Buterin and T-mobile collected more pepeople than UnterChain Summit
This not being the edited version isn’t the point. You’re obviously missing it.
Below is our thoughts:
-
We definitely will vote on the proposal. We would like the community to express and discuss no matter the quality of the proposal. It is also our responsible to vote as a validator and we will vote in most of proposal.
-
We believe we need to consider carefully when fund of CP is involved no matter it is small or big, though the smaller amount can make a yes is more possible as it can give a bigger rooms to try and test and fail.
-
We think the event is good and we like us to support it. And it is always good to have somebody comes out and acts. Really appreciated it and should support them. It is a win-win for the CosmosHub and the proposer who comes out and act.
-
We like funding is approved before act. Asking funding retrospectively is not good and it should be avoided. When something comes up like this, it always bother us how to vote next time when same situation happens again.
-
We need to take responsibility for our act as a validator. We may gain or loss but on our own. We feel sorry for the loss of proposer. But validators should do their math carefully and cannot assume the community to support though they can still ask. We may ask for help according to the governance but better to do it timely so that trade-off can be known for all parties, including the community and the proposer.
-
As a final thought, (i) we would vote the proposal (ii) we incline to vote a “No” for this one. (iii) we may vote a “yes” if the asked amount is set somehow lower so that the some part of the differences is beared by the proposer, say 50%. (iv) It is suggested the cost of spending should be given some supporting and proof. This is a better governance for using CP.
Buddy, I’m not writing nonsense about the event, and I’m certainly not a hater — I’m simply expressing my position and asking questions that I’d like to get answers to and this is not your chat to give users tags or identify them.
This is a decentralized platform where everyone has the right to voice their opinion. If you disagree with that, then you’re standing against decentralization itself — which contradicts the core ideology of the Cosmos Hub - such people, who doesn’t support decentralisation should not be here.
If you’re labeling me as a troll just because I joined three days ago, then we should also label the new accounts that supported you as trolls too because 90 percent of them were created 3-4 days ago. If you consider me a hater or troll simply because I’m exercising my right to speak freely, using various arguments — rather than mindlessly spreading negativity — that’s your personal issue and a reflection of your ego.
Moreover, if we’re talking about a “successful” Cosmos Hub showcase, then why was someone allowed to speak on stage who appeared to be possibly under the influence of something - that’s what a person who was on event said publically. I’m not willing to support such initiatives in any form.
I’m sorry but I can’t put a screenshot here but in one very big Cosmos Chat Vanya from Expedition mentioned that he thinks that Jacob was under drgs while he was performing on stage - @Antropocosmist any comments on that or I’m still be just a hater and troll and we should continue to support and praise such “great” Cosmos events where speaker seems to be under drgs? In my opinion 100 percent no with veto.
So, if you want that others understand what do you mean, you need to explain better
This is in your interests, that others understand you well
Also, can you tell which validator you represent?
Friend, you are unknown user, that joined only for this topic, and you write a lot of FUD
If you want to develop Cosmos, you need to write something constructive and positive
How to do better, and so on
But you spend a time to write how others wrong, and do something not right
But who are you are?
What did you do?
Unbtil you are unknow person, that write FUD - your opinion is not objective, and wewill not care about what you’ve write
Buddy, I just watched this and I have a question – what’s up with your eyes? Why are they so big and shiny? You were so exited that more than 1 person came to listen about your TG bot under Sputnik brand?
P.S. Maybe showcasing the work of Tg bots that have been allowing users to send crypto using only a username for many years under the Sputnik brand isn’t the smartest idea. But if you think this is something revolutionary – I’d recommend developing your visual literacy.
Honestly, it’s a real shame that you, buddy, think it’s okay to take someone else’s money to promote your product, which has nothing unique about it.
This is one more proof, that you are troll, and came here to write FUD
Moreover, also you are make a propaganda of drug phobia
Here is no place for descremination of peeople by consuming any kind of substances
If you are boring troll, who think that drugs are bad - you are loser, and we don’t want to communicate with such kind of people
Cosmos is for drugusers too!
But no place for sexism, racism, nationalizm, drugphobia, homophobia and other kinds of any discriminations in Cosmos!
Thank you for a bright words!
Of course we always take responsibility
And also, all of us need to understand, that in hard situation they will get support!
We are building Cosmos Ecosystem to support each other
We support a lot of people and projects, and this time, support is needed to me, so that’s why I up this topic
If I will not get support from Cosmos - this is not a problem, I will just understand that this is not the place where I need to wait for a support
Because even if such a contributor as me, can’t get support from Cosmos, it means that our decentralized governance model is not working, and Cosmos Hub haven’t any really working tools to incentive or compensate contributors
And also it means, that no reason to contribute for the development of Cosmos, and better to look for aanother ecosystems
