Hello Cosmos Community,
With Safrochain’s mainnet genesis approaching in exactly 8 days, we are hosting a live technical workshop tomorrow to assist independent node operators, validators, and developers in successfully spinning up their infrastructure.
What is Safrochain?
Safrochain is a sovereign, application-specific blockchain built using the Cosmos SDK and CometBFT consensus, featuring full IBC enablement. The network is engineered specifically to bring high-utility decentralized financial services and stablecoin rails to emerging markets, with a core focus on the sub-Saharan African financial landscape.
One of our primary ecosystem modules is MoMoTrack—an open-source oracle mechanism that allows traditional mobile money rails (such as M-Pesa and MTN) to interface directly with on-chain smart contracts. This effectively opens up a seamless gateway for real-world local fiat liquidity to flow natively into the broader Interchain ecosystem.
Why this Workshop?
While our codebase and configurations are entirely open-source on GitHub, setting up a new chain’s environment, building binaries, and aligning genesis configurations can occasionally introduce friction.
To help streamline this process for the validator community, I am hosting a live, hands-on technical session tomorrow. There will be no marketing slides—just a pure terminal-sharing walkthrough.
What we will cover live:

Optimal Linux server environment configuration.

Cloning the repository and compiling the
safrochaindbinaries from source using Go. -
Initializing the node, managing genesis state, and configuring seeds/peers.

Syncing with the network and preparing validator genesis transactions (
gentx). -
Live environment troubleshooting and Q&A.
