I have a recording and transcript of a September 20th Strategic Committee (StratComm) call, which was inadvertently recorded by AADAO contributors using Otter.ai.
Participants of the call are as follows:
@Syed (Marketing Lead)
Mark Denker (Grants Lead)
@0xjordy (Ventures Lead)
@Carter_Lee_Woetzel (StratComm Member)
Delisse Gamboa (Operations Associate)
The community should compare the shared protocol for review
against what actually transpires during the call.
The call reveals a coordinated effort to discredit or cast doubt on the actions and integrity of Oversight members, me and especially @Patricia.
The video is 4 minutes.
Please listen – you will hear explicit indications of:
Lack of impartiality
The committee is actively seeking testimonies that align with a predetermined narrative that seeks to diminish mine and Pati’s credibility, rather than gathering objective information.
Coordination to doctor “testimonies”
There’s evidence of collaboration in crafting and refining testimonies, such as offering feedback on @0xjordy’s statement; Jordan also says he will alter his statement/testimony per suggestions from the team.
Producing misinformation to manipulate public opinion
The group discusses the timing and sequencing of information release, suggesting a calculated approach to shaping public opinion.
Selective use of information
They appear to be cherry-picking accounts that support their narrative, potentially ignoring or downplaying contradictory information.
Lack of/deprivation of due process
There’s little indication that Pati or I will be given a fair opportunity to respond to allegations or present our perspective – as they will “push” what is not “peachy keen and peachy clean” about Oversight.
Biased summarization
The planned “summarization report” is likely staged to present a skewed view of events, given the biased nature of the information gathering.
This call is a resounding example of contributors breaching transparency and fairness, raising significant ethical issues about how the organization handles internal conflicts and investigations.
The “operational freeze” was just buying time to create a coordinated effort to build a case against Oversight members rather than a fair and impartial investigation.
Contributors’ conduct grossly falls short of ethical standards for organizational conflict resolution and the collusion to manufacture cause for reputational harm – baseless challenges to our hard works is reprehensible.
StratComm Call, September 20th
Recommendation on How we Move Forward
-
General Manager Termination:
- The General Manager, Youssef Amrani should be released from his position unconditionally and immediately.
- He should receive pro-rated pay for September; assuming a proposal for his dismissal passes.
- Oversight’s view: It is not justifiable to provide the monthly ATOM retention bonus to the GM.
-
Reversal of “Operational Freeze”:
- The DAO should propose to lift the “operational freeze” currently affecting Oversight members.
-
Investigation of Unethical Conduct:
- Oversight members should be authorized to investigate the unethical conduct of contributors involved in the September 20th StratComm call.
- This investigation will be thorough and impartial.
-
Recommendations for Action:
- Following the investigation, Oversight will provide recommendations for:
a) Corrective actions to address the misconduct
b) Remedial measures to prevent similar incidents in the future
c) Necessary dismissals
- Following the investigation, Oversight will provide recommendations for:
Finally, in retrospect, it was a mistake to trust the contributors with removing the GM. Due to the fact that the AADAO Oversight SubDAO is not properly established in DAODAO, we were reliant on the coreDAO to make the necessary proposal. We were led to believe that the core contributors were prepared to make such a proposal, but this turned out not to be the case.
To address this issue, we propose the following remedies:
Immediate Migration:
- The AADAO parent and subdao structures should be ported over from Neutron to Cosmos Hub without delay.
Establishment of Functional Oversight SubDAO:
- A fully functional Oversight subDAO must be established on Cosmos Hub.
- This should be completed no later than Wednesday, September 25th.
- Revise internal AADAO protocols to reflect the fact Oversight members are held directly accountable by Cosmos Hub Governance, only.
These steps are crucial to ensure proper governance and oversight within the organization. By establishing the Oversight SubDAO directly on Cosmos Hub, we aim to remove unnecessary dependencies and properly establish our ability to carry out necessary governance actions independently.
P.S.: Yesterday, I reached out two contributors to see if there’s a path to handle these additional concerns of unethical conduct discreetly. Unfortunately, when @Better_Future published his post this evening it indicated to us (me and Pati) the team prefers narrative-making to due diligence.
