Akash wants to ditch Cosmos for Solana sadly

Akash Network’s core team wants to leave its Cosmos based blockchain and rebuild its computing marketplace on Solana

Proposal 346 has 98.15% support, with turnout at 42.84% of bonded stake, according to Mintscan.

The team says operating its own chain ties up AKT in security and consumes engineering resources.

If the later marketplace cutover passes, the old chain would halt 90 days afterward.

This reveals weakens within the IBC & Cosmos Labs should address this accordingly. If other teams/organizations follow, crossover will continue & becoming more common in the future.

What did the Cosmos team do to even try and keep them in the ecosystem?

Hi all!!!

My concern is not Akash’s move with 98% voting yes, they’ve made their decision and the logic is sound.

My concern is that we keep losing infra because DeFi opportunities disappear before they begin. Noble and Akash now. If we don’t fix liquid stking and DeFi usability, the next proposal is just a matter of time.
