Cosmodrome Portal Concept

What if create an educational portal for Cosmos Hub? It can be done as a website in form of learn-to-earn.

Cosmodrome – your gateway to Cosmos Ecosystem

What to do on cosmodrome (means spaceport) portal website?

• Tell what is Cosmos Hub and its advantages comparing to other blockchains.
• Briefly introduce the best projects of Cosmos Hub.
• Ask to connect social network accounts and subscribe to recommended media.
• Teach how to start using Cosmos: which wallets to use, where to buy crypto, what is staking, liquidity providing, government proposals, anything that can help new users to integrate.
• Include tests on the learned material.
• Create tasks like buying cryptocurrencies and staking them, joining LPs, etc. with a real checking of what’s been done.
• Show other projects, less popular projects, using the same scheme.
• Possibly add some funny minigames for more attractiveness.
• Add a referral system – invite friends and get advantages.

Active users earn points by completing tasks. Tasks may vary, just look at other similar projects. We’ll talk about points later.

There can be some kind of connection with Interchain Info dot zone. They get new readers, and Cosmodrome gets content (in the form of page links for example) that can be included in educational tasks.

What this brings to Cosmos Hub?

• New active users and money flow.
• More people learn about Cosmos and its advantages.
• More attention to small and beginning projects.
• New projects can find their auditory.
• Potentially more projects in the future.
• Popularization of Cosmos exchanges.

Points and seasons

To get people interested I’d suggest converting earned points to new crypto and giving the airdrop to active users (learn-to-earn mechanic). I suggest using seasons mechanic for airdrops. For example, every 3 months a new season starts and points from previous season are converted into $CMDRM (example) crypto and distributed via an airdrop to active users (there has to be some sort of criteria to screen out farms and bots).
If you don’t want the coin price to go to the floor of the Mariana Trench, use lock system for airdrop, offer users to stake (before distribution) or provide liquidity and earn commission fees + additional incentives. Also set higher fees for exchanging in airdrop period, this might help.
After season ends, announce next one and do the same. Basic learning tasks should be available in every season, but give points only to new addresses.

Thoughts how to raise money for liquidity

• Money earned from ads and partner tasks (sub to …, stake with…).
• Support from Cosmos Government.
• Collect a small fee from users to get airdrop (weeding out inactive and part of bots).

Token should be listed mainly on Cosmos ecosystem exchanges. Transactions could be maintained by atom validators (there is such tech, right?).

About portal design

I’d suggest using a cosmodrome (spaceport) theme for website for the more impressionable flight into the Cosmos Ecosystem.

Author notes

Well, this is all for now. Unfortunately, I cannot develop it on my own as I do not have the necessary knowledge and time. Sorry for my bad English and technical mistakes if there are some.

Hi MJ, welcome to the community!

Great concept! I love the focus on onboarding new users and bringing more attention to smaller projects within the ecosystem through educational tasks and gamification. It’s a fantastic way to help people learn and stay engaged.

I’ve been working on something with a similar goal of boosting community engagement and learning, but from a slightly different angle. My project revolves around integrating collectible rewards into the learning process, where users can earn unique items as they interact with educational resources and dive deeper into the ecosystem. These rewards can be enhanced or upgraded through continued participation and engagement, encouraging users to keep exploring and learning.

I’ll give this post some time to see how much interest it garners, but if there’s a lot of support, it may be valuable to form a discussion group and combine ideas to best suit the community. Of course, anyone else willing to contribute ideas is more than welcome to join the conversation!

Fun concept, @MJ105

May be worth connecting with Interchain Info dot zone.

All the best.
