We shouldn't close forum posts at all

The practice of automatically closing posts is noticeably harming the quality of conversation and utility of this forum.

This forum goes all the way back before Genesis.

But the old posts are useless, in defiance even of the software being used to do forum stuff for the Hub, discourse. Discourse is designed to allow people to have long lasting conversations. We are doing short conversations and the holders of the atom plus a whole bunch of people looking for technical support with the cosmos deck are the ones paying the price for this misconfiguration.

Can we fix it?

Oh and please note that I would just open up the other forum post but um, it’s locked.

In other words, the Cosmos Hub forum has become an advocate for censorship?

No, its simple forum maintenance. A post has to be inactive for 60 days for the topic to be closed. I would assume after 60 days of no response the user in the case of Jacob´s post is long gone.
